The Haredi Institue for Public Affairs was established in 2015 based in the understanding that the growth in the Haredi population as a segment of Israeli society will represent a strategic change with significant consequences on the State.
The Institute’s vision is driven by finding a viable, realistic and dignified solution to the challenges this reality presents to the Haredi community and to the State, based on a multi-year strategic plan to develop the Haredi sector of society in the fields of employment, health, education, housing, municipal development and more.
For this purpose the institute develops and promotes policy recommendations and strategic plans based on a unique model that brings together data experts, senior researchers and experienced Haredi research associates.
The Institute works with government ministries, municipalities, philanthropic funds, social organisations and leading organisations in Haredi society.
The Haredi Institute for Public Affairs Conference 2022 is convening in order to present to the new government and the Israeli public in general the urgent need in defining clear policies on all matters which are on the Haredi society’s agenda and to present the Institute’s policy recommendations on these issues.
At the conference the Institute’s new Whol National Data Center for the Haredi Society will be inaugurated.
This data center is an innovative ground breaking initiative, that provides for the first time a broad perspective on the status of Herdi society.
The Centre’s information is based on data provided by Israel’s Bureau of Statistics (LaMAS) and research done at the Institute and the analysis of this information.
The Center was founded with a generous donation of the Wohl Legacy Foundation and is named in recognition of this support. The Center will enable the segmentation of information based on the different streams within the Haredi population, geographic locations, age, gender and many additional perspectives.
