Vice Chair of the Institute Nitsa (Kaliner) Kasir spoke on the topic of law and poverty, at a professional development conference for attorneys and legal advisers in the Civil Service. Kasir presented various characteristics of poverty in the Haredi sector, with reference to legal aspects thereof. She also spoke about Haredi society’s ways of coping with poverty, including aid organizations and community involvement; economic behavior; gemachim; and the State’s role in contending with poverty.
