Research fellow in the field of housing at the Institute, Mr. Bentzi Rakow, apeared on podcast 0202: Beyond black and white – a look at the different shades of Haredi society.
Rakow spoke to the interviewers about the unique challenges of planning Haredi cities:
“With a society with many children, it must be taken into account that there are more people in the public space. The use of private vehicles is lower, so you need streets adapted to public transport and pedestrians. There will be more public and educational institutions, synagogues and mikvahs”
