Haredi Small-Businesses: Barriers and Opportunities

Small businesses are the backbone of the global economy. They create jobs and contribute to the community's identity and cohesion. They are often the driving force behind the market for entrepreneurship and innovation, which are an important component of economic growth: This is because of their ability to break paradigms and take advantage of technological possibilities that larger businesses do not use.

In the last six months, we conducted a study aimed at examining the situation of self-employed and Haredi business owners. As part of the research, a comprehensive survey was conducted on approximately 400 Haredi business owners, with the aim of establishing the characteristics of Haredi business owners, the state of Haredi businesses, their barriers and opportunities.

We now have an up-to-date overview of the Haredi business owners, with the help of which we can develop plans to promote entrepreneurship and business in Haredi society, while emphasizing the definition of goals and milestones for the policy makers.
